I Will Not Say I Love You

I will not say
I love you
For many years.

We are old.
You already know.

I will not say
I love you
When I go to bed.

I am tired.
And I always turn in before you.

I will not say
I love you
When I leave the house.

I won’t be long.
You’ll be there when I get back.

I will not say
I love you
Because now you are gone.

And I am too late.
