Scenery for Kings

This scenery for Kings,
this stage,
is now acted on by fools
who add nonsensical things
which follow their rules
and so locked in their cage
they let slip by
the real wonder and grace,
leaving dark ravens in the sky,
until the death of this place.

I scratch out poems, and the odd little tale. Mostly for my own amusement.

    1. The photo is of the Fairy Glen in the Isle of Skye. Tourists are destroying the area by creating stone structures and inventing myths where there are none. I’m trying, in my poem, to create an analogy with humankind’s propensity to destroy nature, forcing its own version of how the world should be rather than simply enjoy what Mother nature provided.
