Lindsay Craik arrived in Fife from his home in Aberdeen, where he once wrote a poem for a school magazine. However, a life in electronics stilted art thinking and any creativity was business oriented. The blessing of a brief departure from work for a year helped when he attended a creative writing course and went on to write several short stories, some of which were printed, published on internet sites an one was put on audio in Calgary.
Lindsay spent a life in the defence engineering world, starting as engineer at Marconi and ending as a project manager in IT at Babcock, Rosyth. He retiired from this in 2015 and took up voluntary gardening work in Pittencrieff Park and has more time for his writing and poetry.
To gain a better understanding of structure, Lindsay attended screenwriting courses in Edinburgh and has developed several short pieces and a full length screenplay, which has been reviewed in LA.
Lindsay also writes poetry and has developed many poems on many themes and has published these elsewhere. He intends to focus more on poetry.
In the last ten years Lindsay has written scores of stories. Some short stories published: Airchie in Caledonia Review, Time Free in Anthology by Critters Bar (Amazon), Underneath the Arches in Murky Depths, The Doorbell Rang Again on audio internet. Currently, he has short stories and poems in review with publishers and is completing a book collection of stories and poems.
