Tooth Fairy

She’s my darling, my love
And it comes to us all,
That moment of truth
When you have to stand tall
At the indignity
Of losing a tooth.

I comforted, I cuddled
I wiped away tears
I said you’re a big girl
Of many brave years
And there’s the Tooth Fairy
We’ll give that a whirl.

So she hugged me
And she loved me
And we had our nice fix
Though I tell you right now,
There’s no bloody Tooth Fairy
She’s gone 46!

free time blues

I heard that there were
under-dressed waitresses
but no floozies in the jacuzzi
all very strange stuff for you
so I’ve come out and see
you making up for lost time
and took an early arrival
to catch you out for sure
all alone in the wilds in
a log cabin in the forest
no jazz in the art gallery
no punk in the basement
just you strumming on the porch
singing out to the creatures around
I looked on and smiled
then I went straight home

A bit fat

They said I was a bit fat
and I didn’t like that
so I stopped eating food
but that was no good
as I made myself ill
so I took a slimming pill
but it just wasted money
and that wasn’t funny
so I tried to get a bit fit
with a fit bit
but that was a bit shit
however
eventually I could see
that it wasn’t really me
so ignoring ‘good health’
at last, I’m happy with myself
